Angelic Burden

Angelic tears
Soft and gentle
fall from her eyes
And stream down her silk cheeks
To form a river of angelic sorrow

Her voice so soothe
Like an angelic lullaby
Giving us chills as she sings
Giving us pain as she cries
Giving us comfort as we mourn

Fly up high
Span your angelic wings
Remember not to cry
And show us all of your graceful dancing
Have mercy upon lost and broken souls

Comfort the depressed
Save the drowning
Dry our tears with the sun
Speak only truth and honesty
Lift us high off the ground

Seize the wilted flower
Breathe into the deadened
Turn the acid ocean pure with water so holy
Allow others to see color when there’s black
Numb all of the endless pain

This is a burden for you,
Oh dear Angel
With such angelic sorrow
With such gentle tears
With such softened skin
Save our tomorrow
